According to our itinerary

The four of us landed in Bangkok, Thailand and went to our first hotel. The chosen hotel was a resounding success because of the location, because of the quality and cleanliness, because of the ridiculously convenient access to the skytrain and the adjacent shopping mall – access directly from the hotel lobby. It probably doesn’t get any better than that.
Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal21 is a luxurious, 5-star hotel with a high score on Booking (verified scores) but forget that the hotel is excellent, Bangkok is full of excellent hotels, the location! There is nothing better than this. Because it is connected to the BTS Skytrain station which, as its name suggests, is an elevated train that flies above all the traffic jams, humidity and haze of Bangkok. It is insanely cheap, air-conditioned and an hour’s taxi ride takes about ten minutes on the BTS Skytrain.

From our hotel lobby we walk through a glass door into a lovely mall where the train station is located. Perfect! We booked two double rooms with a connecting door.

We put our suitcases in the rooms, showered and went out to grab a bite to eat at the mall connected to the hotel. A really cute mall. On the bottom floor there are food stalls and small restaurants. There is also a supermarket. On the other floors there are clothing stores, brands and, as mentioned, across from the skytrain. Air-conditioned! There are also branches of cafes to clear your head. I got it sorted!

The floating hotel is built of wood on rafts connected to each other. You have to see the pictures to understand what I’m talking about. We got two rooms with a connecting door. Each room has a balcony overlooking the river…a dream. The rooms are air-conditioned. They are charmingly decorated, cheap and of a high standard. There is a restaurant on site, there is a Thai massage. You can only jump in with a life jacket, and the water simply sweeps you quickly to the end of the hotel, where there is a rope with which you can go up to the river bank and back again. An experience. Even sitting on the deck chairs or the swing on the room’s private balcony is a stunning experience. In short, this floating hotel is an attraction in itself, a highly recommended experience. Something different. Don’t miss out.
